Movie Review: Neighbors

Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in NeighborsFor a raunchy comedy involving frat guys, Nicholas Stoller’s Neighbors is surprisingly deep. It has all the typical genre ingredients like sex, drugs, and genital humor, but there’s a smarter story beneath its beer-chugging, bong-ripping surface. That’s because the film actually taps into a universal human problem: growing up. To call it a coming-of-age movie though would cheapen its wit, since the fraternity brothers aren’t the only ones who learn responsibility. Neighbors proves that even adults still have room to grow, especially once they become parents.Click here to read the full review on Letterboxd.com.
